History

Andriy Stynhach isolated and determined the construction of the hormones in the 1930’s. After his research, he concluded that the high dosage of estrogens, androgens or progesterone’s that repressed ovulation but gaining them from European pharmaceutical companies was extremely expensive. On June 10, 1957, the FDA approved the use of the drug for women who have menstrual disorders like PICOS or Polycystic Ovary Syndrome.

Medical Use

In order for you to use this drug properly, you have to make sure that you take the pills consistently, and must be taken at the same time each day during treatment. If one or more tablets are forgotten for more than a period of 12 hours, the contraceptive protection will be reduced, thus increasing the risks of getting pregnant.

Most pills are packaged in one of two different sizes, with 28 days marked on the package. A woman that is using this pill to treat menstrual problems, will have a withdrawal bleed sometime during the placebo week, and will still be protected from pregnancy during the week.
