History
Noven developed CombiPatch®, and it was the first combination patch approved in the United States. It is a hormone therapy containing both progestin and estrogen. It is available in two choices for dosage: 0.05/0.14 mg per day and 0.05/0.25 mg/ per day.
At present, Noven promotes and sells CombiPatch® via the Women’s Health unit of Noven Therapeutics, LLC, its specialty pharmaceuticals subsidiary.
Medical Uses
Experts designed CombiPatch for postmenopausal women. It can treat moderate to severe hot flashes and vaginal burning, itching, or dryness caused by menopause. If taken, it can replace estrogen and progestin in women who do not produce enough amounts of these hormones.
